Why, oh why, are family functionals always SO dysfunctional?...

All of the following are events of this Thanksgiving that made it so freakin' memorable-

1. I screwed my mom's iPod up, cause mine was broken, so I got about a 30 minute rant/yell session from her that scared me so much I cried.

2. This also meant that the entire 2 and a half hour ride to my aunt and uncle's house was spent in silence.

3. Me and my two cousins spent about 15 minutes trying to explain to my grandpa and my three other uncles what the terms "Pwned" and "Epic Fail" mean...

4. My cousins are the kind of Twilight fangirls that you have nightmares about...the squealing-and-gushing-over-Edward-and-Jacob's-pictures-for-an-hour-on-their-iPhone, and the ranting-for-15-minutes-about-how-FANTASTIC-New Moon-was kind of fangirls...

5. All of my relatives were bugging me ALL DAY about 'What do you want for Christmas?! What do you want for Christmas?! What do you want for Christmas?!' I had to say 'MANGAANIMENEWARTSUPPLIESATABLETCOMPUTERA NDPHOTOSHOP' about a billion times.

6. I just found out from my aunt that my cousin (who I was somewhat close to) had her wedding last month. I wasn't invited.

7. I got a mouthful from my aunt, who's a doctor, about 'WHY HAVEN'T YOU GOTTEN THE H1-N1 SHOT YET?! DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY CHILDREN HAVE DIED-' and on and on and on, over dinner.

8. While my grandma and grandpa where chatting (more like yelling) away in Chinese with the rest of my Chinese relatives, my Irish grandpa was (attempting to) have a conversation with my mother (who is Cuban) in spanish. I didn't understand a word of any of their conversations...

9. We didn't have Turkey. We had Tofurkey.

10. Almost everyone who came to the party got drunk because about 10 people brought their own wine, so everyone was tasting everyone else's wine. On the way back to my house, my mother passed out in the front while my dad was driving (thank GOD he was sober!!) but I had to hear her mutter stuff all the way home.

Now how fantastic does THAT sound?
